CAN YOU HELP?
SUPPORTING COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
As a Club we seek to make participation in football available to as many individuals as possible within the local community. We help do this by keeping our membership fees low. This also means that we depend on the generosity of those whom donate their time or provide funds to help the Club achieve its charitable objectives. We are very grateful to all of the individuals, companies and other organisations that support the Club.
There are many different ways to support the Club's activities –
The support of those who give their time freely is critical to success of the Club. You can get involved by helping to run a team, becoming a trustee, helping out in the bar or coffee shop, organising events, assisting to maintain our facilities or providing administrative support. If you would like to learn more about how to get involved please speak to a Club officer or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Show your support for the Club and the local community by sponsoring a team kit. As a charity, donations and sponsorship from companies can be tax deductible. Sponsors are featured on our website and in our newsletter. For more information about sponsorship opportunities please contact a Club officer or e-mail us at email@example.com
Gift Aid means that as a charity the Club can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated by a UK taxpayer. If you pay tax above the basic rate, you can claim back the difference between the rate you pay and the basic rate on your donations. Please complete either a Single Donation or Multiple Donation form and return it to the Club (firstname.lastname@example.org). More information can be found here.
VIRGIN MONEY GIVING
Regular or one-off donationst o the Club (including Gift Aid) can also made on-line using Virgin Money Giving. Please note that a small commission is paid to Virgin Money Giving on donations via their platform.
Over 4000 retailers including Amazon, eBay, Just Eat, Waitrose, Dominos, Now TV and Audible will send the Club a donation when you use the easyshopping website or app to shop with them. Endorsed by Essex FA, it only takes a couple of minutes to set up. The Lawford FC easyshopping web page can be found here.
Many companies support charities through matched giving schemes, whereby they match charity fundraising or donations by their employees. Some companies will also match the value of the time you give to a charity. Please ask your HR team for more information.
